Cantor Meets Jolson Cantor Meets Jolson This is one of several disks available from the Eddie Cantor Appreciation Society. The pictured disk, Cantor Meets Jolson, contains six wonderful radio programs from 1937 through 1949 featuring Eddie Cantor and Al Jolson. These disks are a must have for any Jolson collector, with recordings of many classic Jolson numbers, as well as Al singing Eddie Cantor numbers such as "If You Knew Susie," which was originally Al's, and "Ida! Sweet As Apple Cider," which Eddie made a tribute to his wife. Now out of print!
I Remember Jolson Original Cast OC-2073 Subtitled Every Jolson Story Cantor ever told! this recording is a gem that belongs in every Jolson library. Lovingly produced by Cantor's grandson, Brian Gari, it includes: Time To Smile (excerpt with Joan Davis kidding about Jolson); Old Man Jolson (parody in a clear arrangement from 1948); The Stories (17 minutes of stories about Jolson); Jolson Salute (24 minutes from Show Business Old & New, an October 1953 Jolson memorial show); and Eddie singing along with the Decca recordings of Jolson doing "Carolina In The Morning," "For Me And My Gal," and "By The Light Of The Slivery Moon." Pardon the pun, but it is UNFORGETTABLE!
